The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow position
1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow
2. Job description:
i,. A JRF position is available in the Medical Ultrasound Engineering (MUSE) Lab, IIT Gandhinagar, on a project funded by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM). Specifically, the JRF will perform biomedical research focused on ultrasound imaging for tissue characterization.
ii. Candidates from biomedical and electrical backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The applicant must be self-motivated, independent, and interested in biomedical research. The fellow will receive extensive training and mentorship in biomedical research methods and scientific communication.
i. The candidate must hold a B.Tech. degree in Biomedical/ Electrical Engineering, or related fields, from recognized institutions/universities with good academic track record. The candidate must have experience in programming and signal/imaging processing in MATLAB.
ii. The candidate must have qualified through a National Eligibility Test (GATE or CSIR-UGC NET) or a National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments, as per Government of India norms. Candidates with demonstrated track-record in ultrasound imaging or related areas will be given preferance.
4. Duration: 1 year
5. Remuneration: INR 25,000 per month (Salaries will be as per GSBTM norms.)
